Byrams' Ford Battlefield

A large plaque is on two posts located in green space approximately
500 ft. north of 63rd St., and west of railroad tracks.

The Civil War battle on this site took place on October 22 and 23, 1864. The principal commanders were Major General James G. Blunt and Major General Alfred Pleasonton for the Union, and Brigadier General Joseph Shelby and Brigadier General John S. Marmaduke for the the Confederate States.
