Each year, the NSDKC awards ceremony is conducted during the Annual Holiday Brunch.

• Carl J. DiCapo Award Most Outstanding Member

  This award shall be present annually to the member who has demonstrated most contributions to the well being of our organization. The member who brings in the most new members, raises the most funds, serves on the most committees, works on all issues for the benefit of the organization. (The member who does more than Carl J. DiCapo for that year). If there is no member that does more than Carl DiCapo during the year, the Award will be present to Carl J. DiCapo including this first year of the Award in 2018,  
   
• Lee I. Pickering Award of Excellence
  This award recognizes a member in good standing for five consecutive years that has demonstrated excellence in performance of his or her duties, commitment to a project, extraordinary detail and quality in the delivery of the project, information required to complete the project, and assisted and mentored others in the completion of the project.
   
• George E. Hicks Award for Perseverance
  This award recognizes a member in good standing for five consecutive years that has demonstrated unshakeable commitment to a long term project when all others have given up. They are able to bear the difficulties calmly and without complaint. They demonstrate hard work, patience and endurance. They try again and again until the project is completed.
   
• Special Recognition Award
  This award recognizes an individual that has provided outstanding commitment, leadership, coordination or resources to further the mission of the organization which is dedicated to the recognition, preservation and restoration of greater Kansas City’s unique heritage.
